Antioch University’s CACREP-accredited Clinical Mental Health Counseling program (offered in both an online and low-residency weekend model in Keene, NH) prepares you to help people address the personal, family, and social issues that interfere with their ability to lead healthy and productive lives. This experiential program, taught by leading practitioners, is a combination of online coursework, clinical intensives, and field experience in a clinical setting. With a clinical mental health counseling degree, you can channel your passion for people into a meaningful career as a counselor.
The MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Antioch provides you with the skills and knowledge needed to address the complexity of issues impacting the mental health of individuals and families and integrates the principles of social justice and diversity throughout all courses and clinical work. Students also have an option to specialize in Addictions Counseling, Trauma Counseling, or Trans-affirmative Therapy, or choose from a variety of electives.

The Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program fosters the development of professional identity by encouraging an active, thorough, and continuing examination of the development of one’s self in the role of a professional counselor (self-in-role). The program prepares professional counselors to work in a multicultural global community with individuals, groups, and social systems, to promote mental health and well-being. Antioch University’s CMHC program provides learner-centered education to empower students with the knowledge and skills to lead meaningful lives and to advance racial, social, economic, and environmental justice.
